For today’s edition of My song of the week I thought it would be best if I went to a place I spent my December holidays at and that place is Polokwane in Limpopo.
Before you jump into conclusion by thinking that I will be writing about songs by King Monada or maybe Master KG I am sorry I am not going in that direction.
My song of the week is a song called Ajeh by Quali or as he calls himself Quali SA. I am not going to lie when it comes to him because when Fiona (my younger sister) would always talk about him, I would always think nope I am not going to listen to his stuff nor write about him because I thought I would be wasting my time only to find out that I have been sleeping on one of the best artists Limpopo will ever produce in the era we are in.
When you listen to Ajeh the first thing that will hit you will be that guitar tune on the beat which made me think of a certain song that I still can’t pinpoint exactly as I think I’ve heard a song with that tune before, I just don’t know which one. The song is more of an unrequited love type of song where he talks about his love for this girl, who doesn’t notice him at all while her beauty and everything she has on offer has him in awe hence the name Ajeh.
I suggest you listen to Tour on SoundCloud or Youtube before he releases his next project (The Book of Ajeh) on the 8th of February.
The name is Takalani Modau but for some reasons I go by Thabang, I'm from Soweto. I'm a huge music fan, it doesn't matter what you bring to me as it's great I will bump to it. I live with my wife, son and my younger sister. I have a full time job as a uhm lets say Data Capturer. I spent most of my day with headsets on if I am not listening to something on Spotify then I am watching something on YouTube or Netflix.
I have been blogging on and off since 2012, it started as a means of me sharing my views on certain things to people in general and so forth. .
